One of our favourite shop designs to date is this gorgeous aesthetics clinic in Redcar. Kay Howell, the proprietor, fully entrusted us to go with our instincts on this one and she loved the results! Kay arranged for the fascia to be painted in a lovely dark grey colour to compliment the Dermalogix brand, and we produced the signage to suit.
The windows were produced from an etched/frosted vinyl to give privacy as well as a clean, fresh and modern look. The etched was installed to the inside of the window facing out. The lips were then printed on our HP Latex 560 and cut on our Graphtec optical plotter. They were glossed laminated and then applied to the window the same way as the frosting.
The difference between the matt finish on the frosting and the glossy finish on the lips gives it more dimension. The upper window has a chrome finish vinyl for ‘Dermalogix’ again installed to the inside of the window facing out.
The signage was produced from an aluminium composite material called ‘alupanel’ and the mirror finish in an external grade material to stand up to all weather. The letters are laser cut on a CNC machine, and then installed on stand off locators to give it a 3D effect. The word ‘Aesthetics’ was also laser cut, in a white acrylic, and glued flush to the fascia so as to not to take anything away from the main sign.
All of the different materials and matt/gloss effects on this job have complimented each other wonderfully and the brought the whole job together perfectly. Our client is over the moon and has already had lots of very positive feedback about the shop front.
